Modern day browsers are capable of doing more than just rendering html pages, with these excellent libraries you can add cool image effects to your web pages
A collection of javascript image effect scripts which allow you to add several effects to your site like Curl, Corner, Filimed, Bevel, Edge, Sliding, Reflection, Gloss, Tilt, Sphere, Zoom, Gauge and Snap Fit
Produces a cool fade according to the size that you specify. this script does not work in netscape 4.x
This is an impressive script that allows you to conveniently zoom in and out of an image. Functional in IE4+, NS6 and Opera 6+, the script does not push content around the image aside as it is zooming, unlike most similar scripts out there. You can even add the effect to multiple images on the same page!
The Lake was created in the script attempt to create a substitute – on an older home employed – Java applet by David Griffiths with JavaScript.
The result corresponds to optically not quite the original, but offers at least similar functionality. It has the ability to animate the lower portion of an image with a wave motion, alternatively, reflect the upper portion of an image on an imaginary water line down, the mirrored part with a second image deposit or the image with a – partly transparent — gif to overlap.
This library tries to enable different client side image effects. IE has long had its filters, which have provided a few basic effects for IE. With canvas, some of these effects can also be achieved in Firefox and Opera.
Phototype is a client/server-side library, based on prototype, which supports all kinds of image manipulations. On the serverside the library is powered by combination of PHP/GD that renders the image. With phototype, you are able to rotate, resize, flip and do some other cool effects to images.
